You must be at least 18 years old to join NAAGA. Minors who are at least 10 years old can participate in shooting activities but must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a parent or legal guardian
Anyone who can legally possess a firearm is eligible to join the organization. The organization is open to people of all races, genders, religious backgrounds, sexual orientation, and political views.
If you have a felony conviction or if you have a misdemeanor conviction for domestic violence (and the conviction has not been pardoned or expunged and rights to possess a firearm restored), under federal law (and under most, if not all, state laws), you are not legally allowed to possess a firearm and therefore are prohibited from joining the organization

Lastly, even though we are a brand new chapter, I recommend a short history of the local chapter to include the date it was established, and possibly founding members.
The National African American Gun Association, of Savannah, Ga. (NAAGASAV) was founded on May 26, 2020 by our current Chapter President, Anthony Maben Jr.
During these unfortunate times, with the height of racial tensions, Anthony felt an immediate and urgent need for self-preservation, and protection of the African American Community through armed protection and gun safety.
